We have recently completed building a new home and after choosing a specialist Hi Fi store to supply our audio system, they referred us to Brendon and Kahu from Custom Installations NZ Ltd who were to install wiring for a multi-room system.  This proved to be a stroke of luck for us as they were absolutely fantastic to deal with.

We had little knowledge of these systems, therefore the choices we needed to make were quite complicated and a more than a little confusing, as we balanced what we wanted with our budget.  Brendon and Kahu had no hesitation  in spending the time needed to make sure we understood their recommendations.  We ended up with them installing, audio, A/V distribution, telephone and security wiring throughout our new home.

With a view of having a retrofit of a home theatre we contacted Custom Installations NZ Ltd.

This fit involved the wall mounting of a 42” plasma television; the installation of in-ceiling speakers in two rooms; a DVD, VCR, receiver/Amp and Sky decoder inside an adjacent cupboard; and hard wiring a separate television in the main bedroom, all concealed within wall/ceiling wiring.

The first thing that impressed us was the prompt response to our initial enquiry by the manager, Brendon Wilshire.

An appointment was arranged at which he listened to our wishes and then gave good advice on the project, for example, re the positioning of some items, e.g. speakers, and the infra-red controls.

Brendon and his co-worker were prompt with their starting time each day, and contacted us in advance if they were delayed in any way.  Their approach to the task was very professional and we were impressed with their attention to detail and with the care given the finish, both seen and unseen.  They were fastidious concerning cleanliness, always removing their shoes outside the house, removing any debris as it was created, and taking great care with the household furnishings and fittings.

Their demeanour was always professional, pleasant and cheerful.  They also went the extra mile to ensure that we, the customer, were satisfied, for example, to the point of providing a laminated sheet of operating instructions for our new system.

Given our satisfaction with such a high standard of workmanship, we would have no hesitation in recommending Custom Installations.
